NIS Petrol and Agena have signed long-term cooperation contract: First regional web fest organized by Agena will be named as NIS Petrol WebFest and Agena will be in charge of corporate portal development for this petroleum company.

WebFest is the first fest in southeast Europe organized to promote Internet usage to a wide audience.

Goals:

  1. Attract greater number of Internet users for direct contribution to the economical growth and development of the entire society.
  2. Education of a wide audience about practical and creative use of Internet in ordinary life activities and business.
  3. Usage of cultural and entertaining content for Internet popularization.
  4. Engage responsible leaders from country establishment to release great potentials that reside in a society which uses new technologies to the full extent.
  5. Stimulate qualitative advancement for Internet based projects (target audience: web designers and web production companies) and perception of importance and role of these projects for a group that has objective need for them (businessmen, managers, leaders).
  6. Development of e-government by motivating population to use Internet services.
  7. Greater number of Internet end-users will cause rise of investments in IT area and the final result should be more workplaces.

WebFest will take a place from September to November 2007.

"I have a right to know!" - Party in Belgrade's club Plastic regarding HIV portal site launch.

The first web portal designed to be a central gathering point for HIV prevention was officially launched on Saturday, 2 December 2006. This portal is created on the initiative of IT experts from Agena company along with professional and financial support from National office for HIV/AIDS and UNPD. The main motto of the portal is "I have right to know!".

It is the first portal in the region focused on that type of content. Also, this is the first time that mutual work, strategy and tendency of Ministry of Health, proficient AIDS commission, NGO sector and private business will be joined, presented and AVAILABLE TO EVERYONE.

Having in mind results from CePIT research from June 2006 which shows that since 1999 number of Internet users has grown five times and that 48.8% Internet users are aged from 15 to 29 years, this is the right moment to launch web portal that offers complete overview about HIV/AIDS, human rights and harm reduction programme.

Web portal "I have right to know!" is developed using an open source technology, technology that represents a symbol of united effort in overcoming challenges of availability, validity and importance of information in modern ICT realm.
